George Washington School students turn to 'Three Little Pigs' for artwork inspiration

Young children building artwork

Students at George Washington Elementary School built a paper tower structure using two pieces of paper and tape as their resources. They read about the "Three Little Pigs" in Arts & Letters for Module 2 ARC E. For lesson 27 prologue, the teachers had them experience building a structure similar to the "Three Little Pigs" story. The goal was to use the word "strong" and build a structure that was not only strong, but also standing. They also had students practice collaboration and their critical-thinking skills, and had a team build a tower that was 15 inches tall!
