George Washington Elementary School students were jumping for joy on Friday, as parents came to the school to watch their children jump rope during the PTA’s George Washington Cares fundraiser. There were over 600 jumpers who participated in the event, which raised $4,000 to support the George Washington Food Pantry.

Physical Education teacher Marybeth Stefano led the full auditorium through stretches before the jumping began. Students had the opportunity to use the short jump rope alone and the long jump rope with the help of their friends and families.
